This Ramadhan, SANTAI by The RuMa Hotel and Residences pays tribute to traditional Malay gastronomy’s rich and diverse flavours with a buffet spread highlighting the country’s many unique tastes, spices, and ingredients.
Beginning March 28th, SANTAI is serving up a lavish array of traditional festive spreads, including Raya favourites such as lemang, daging serunding, satay, and ayam rendang, along with an irrestible selection of ulam-ulaman (fresh Malay herbs) and kerabu. Chef Mohammad Rizuwan of The RuMa Hotel and Residences’ Production Kitchen took inspiration from the nostalgia of his childhood into creating the buffet menu.
For traditional and authentic ingredients, the lineup ranges from daun pegaga and raja ulam with a buffet of sambals to various kerabu such as mangga sotong, taugeh kerang, and jantung pisang will transport you to a simpler time. Along with these favourites, there are also modern takes on Malay staples like salmon bakar and slipper lobster percik, as well as durian strudel and pandan crème brûlée to end with a sweet note.
As Ramadhan is also a time for reflection and sharing, The RuMa Hotels and Residences wants you to connect with friends and family with their Eid Al-Fitr Delicacies box of sweet treats. The box contains the sweetness of kuih bunga dahlia, peanut cookies, pandan sable and chocolate chip cookies. Priced at MYR 128, each box of cookies comes with three kinds of dates and a packet of elegant sampul raya.
SANTAI buffet is available daily from 6:30 PM starting March 28th to April 20th and is priced at MYR 218 per person. Get 20% discount via pre-purchase before 31 March 2023.
