For a limited time only this September, Sushisho Masa will be taking over KL’s Sushi Ryu, bringing one of Tokyo’s best sushiya experiences to Malaysia for the first time.
As easily as you can find sushi at sushi chains and supermarkets these days, those delightful seaweed bundles of fresh seafood and fragrant rice are best experienced at an authentic Japanese sushiya. And if there’s a sushiya that’s among the top to try in Tokyo, we hear it’s Sushisho Masa.
Helmed by Chef Masakatsu Oka, or Masa or short, the cosy seven-seat restaurant is frequented by locals and tourists alike for a taste of diverse, premium sushi.
The menu isn’t just limited to your usual salmon belly or uni, but also less known seasonal produce such as grilled anago liver as well as Chef Masa’s signature nigiri – the Masa-feuille. Comprising of three succulent slices of otoro with a dab of wasabi in between, the triple layered mille-feuille is well-known for making guests return for more.
Now here’s the good news: you don’t necessarily have to book a flight to Japan to experience these dishes. For a limited time only this September, Sushisho Masa will be taking over KL’s Sushi Ryu, bringing one of Tokyo’s best sushiya experiences to Malaysia for the first time.
