And yes, it was plain to see then that this year was less about nostalgia, and all for showing off plenty of boldness for the iconic brand. With this new collection, each timepiece showcases a deep respect for the brand’s archival design language, while also undoubtedly signalling a confident stride towards the future.
Tudor Black Bay 68
Tudor’s new Black Bay 68 arrives as a confident, contemporary dive watch, packed with substance and stripped of unnecessary vintage callbacks. Housed in a newly developed 43mm case, the Black Bay 68 offers presence without unnecessary bulk. And yet, despite the size increase, the watch delightfully maintains a sleek profile and holds steady with a 200-metre water resistance rating.
Visually, the 68 keeps things clean and crisp. There’s also a choice between two domed sunray dials of classic silver or deep Tudor blue, both paired with a matte black aluminium bezel for a monochrome, minimalist punch. At the heart of the watch beats the Calibre MT5601-U, now METAS (Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology)-certified, an industry gold standard. With 70 hours of power reserve, this chronometer-grade movement definitely means business.
Tudor Black Bay 58
Dubbed as tinted in ‘burgundy’, the brand’s latest Black Bay 58 can easily pass off as a dark red or deep wine, really. One thing’s for sure, it’s definitely a tribute woven through decades of dive watch heritage. The design actually traces its lineage back to 1958, when Tudor introduced its now-iconic ‘Big Crown’ reference 7924, the brand’s first ever diver rated to 200 metres.
Now reinterpreted in a slim, vintage-inspired 39mm case with the new Black Bay 58, it echoes the proportions of the original. Inside, the watch receives a major technical upgrade: Master Chronometer certification from METAS, placing it among the most rigorously tested timepieces in terms of precision, magnetic resistance and reliability.
The watchmaker also offers three versatile strap options – a 3-link bracelet, a refined 5-link alternative, and a durable rubber strap – all fitted with the brand’s T-fit clasp for effortless micro-adjustments on the go.
Tudor Pelagos Ultra
Of course, there’s bound to also be a very serious dive watch type in the new selection. True enough, the fresh Pelagos Ultra certainly looks the part for this with a 43mm case that’s crafted from lightweight yet incredibly strong Grade 5 titanium that ensures both presence and practicality on the wrist.
Water resistance has also been doubled – from the earlier Pelagos’ already-impressive 500m to a full 1000 metres. Meanwhile, a compact helium escape valve is also neatly integrated into the left case flank, a nod to the unique needs of any commercial deep diver.
Inside, one will also find the Calibre MT5612-U, now Master Chronometer-certified by METAS. That means it’s been tested to exacting standards for precision, anti-magnetism, and overall performance.
Tudor Black Bay Pro
There’s also the Black Bay Pro with dials made of synthetic ‘Opaline’ glass, characterised by a milky and opaque appearance. It’s also a refined evolution of the watch house’s previous robust travel timepiece from 2012. While the new watch retains the original’s sturdy 39mm steel case, fixed 24-hour bezel, and in-house dual-time movement, the big update here is visual: a clean, high-contrast opaline dial that enhances clarity and legibility across any environment.
The bold black ceramic hour markers and matching outlines on the Snowflake hands make reading the time effortless, whether one’s spelunking a dimly lit cave or chasing daylight across time zones. The vibrant yellow GMT hand circles the dial every 24 hours, tracking reference time against the bezel, while the shorter Snowflake hand sets local time in hour jumps – both forward and backward. A clever date mechanism adjusts automatically as the wearer crosses midnight in either direction.
At its core is the COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres: the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute)-certified MT5652 calibre, offering 70 hours of power reserve, a silicon balance spring, and the rugged dependability Tudor is known for.
Tudor Black Bay Chrono
Tudor also chose this year to celebrate its half a century of chronograph-making with a redefined Black Bay Chrono. This reimagined ticker merges vintage motorsport vibes with modern-day refinement that showcases a new stainless steel case subtly reworked and maintaining the original’s 41mm diameter size while benefitting from a new, sleeker profile.
The slim down is thanks to a lowered sapphire crystal and cleverly repositioned movement. This updated silhouette preserves the rugged charm of the original Black Bay while offering a more refined wrist presence. The chronograph dial comes in two striking colourways: matte black with opaline sub-dials, or opaline with matte black sub-dials.
Definitely bringing lots of versatility to the table, the Black Bay Chrono is now also available with a choice of either a three-link Oyster-style bracelet or a more intricate five-link configuration.
