“The future is female”.
Taking a stance on feminism to a fashionable level (in his show) was American-Nepalese designer, Prabal Gurung. Layers, fur, prints, tassels and major equal rights were seen against a bold colour palette. The focal point that had everyone talking were the fearless T-shirts with taglines such as “The future is female”, “Nevertheless she persisted”, ” I am an immigrant” and ” We will not be silenced” worn by models who strutted down the runway in equal gallantry. He’s one of the many to embrace woman rights and different cultures, the perfect reflection of his coming from different culture himself.
