Versace returns to its mythological and maritime origins with La Vacanza 2025, a collection that bridges seaside ease and metropolitan polish. La Vacanza, meaning “the vacation” in Italian, is an annual collection that celebrates the Versace spirit of escape, leisure, and timeless glamour.
First introduced as a resort line, it has evolved into a key expression of the House’s seasonal identity. Rooted in the brand’s enduring connection to the Mediterranean, the new women’s and men’s lines offer a modern take on resort dressing, blending swimwear, tailoring, and eveningwear into one fluid expression of style.
Central to the collection is a revival of Trésors de la Mer, the archival underwater print first introduced in Spring/Summer 1992. Reinterpreted with vivid detail, it reappears on everything from swimwear and silk shirts to suiting and accessories. The designs reflect a life spent between sea and city, with silhouettes that easily adapt to shifting settings and moods.

In the Women’s Collection, swimsuits are reimagined as corseted tops and draped dresses, styled with tailored shorts or jackets. Cowl-neck gowns reference classical Grecian lines, while pareos evolve into sheer cover-ups layered over bikinis.
For men, relaxed tailoring meets beachwear, with printed twin sets, sarongs, and cropped nylon coats. The classic silk shirt reemerges in modern twin sets, and denim suiting is offered in cap-sleeved or sleeveless variations.

Craftsmanship and material play reinforce the seaside narrative with aquatic crystal embroidery, shell-inspired beadwork, and shiny sequins mimic the shimmer of sea treasures. Notable details include sea glass embellishments, clear sequins layered over chiffon, and metallic mesh used in draped evening gowns. Fabrics such as crushed poplin and jersey echo the texture of garments carried in a suitcase, soft and lived-in.
The colours of the collection takes inspiration from the coast: sea green, coral, and azure recall the ocean, while sunset pinks, warm yellows, and soft vanilla evoke sand and sky. Mythological and marine prints, including underwater Medusas and vibrant illustrations of sea creatures, pay homage to the southern Italian roots of the Versace family, particularly Reggio Calabria and its Greek heritage.

Accessories continue the theme with a focus on artisanal detail. Women’s bags, including the Tag and La Medusa totes, are offered in dragon fruit tones and sequined treatments. Footwear ranges from spiral-strap sandals to elevated pool slides.
In jewellery, faux coral, shells, and seahorses become wearable symbols of oceanic lore. Men’s accessories include the Medusa Biggie in tortoiseshell leather, printed totes, and sneakers featuring zip compartments and embossed motifs.
La Vacanza 2025 also marks a step forward in Versace’s environmental advocacy. In partnership with Coral Gardeners, the brand is supporting the restoration of coral reefs in French Polynesia by adopting 9,000 coral fragments. Customers who purchase from the collection in June will be able to name and track their adopted coral, while also receiving updates from the reef.

The campaign is photographed by Zoë Ghertner as she traces the transition from shoreline to interior. The imagery reflects both natural elements and refined design, referencing archaeological motifs and poolside leisure in equal measure.
La Vacanza 2025 shows how Versace reimagines familiar motifs in new forms. It’s a collection that celebrates transformation in shape, meaning, and the oceanic landscapes behind it. Discover the collection via their website or at your nearest Versace store today.
