This season, two iconic names in the world of fashion come together for an unforgettable collaboration: Miu Miu and Church’s. Miu Miu, known for its free-spirited charm, melds seamlessly with the British brand Church’s deep-rooted artisanal legacy. The launch is celebrated by a still and moving image campaign – lensed by photographer Lengua – using a timelessly beautiful gentleman’s armchair, richly upholstered in archive Miu Miu fabric, as a stage.
Crafted in shiny brushed leather in timeless shades of black and tobacco, the shoes from the collection are rounded and broader in shape than the classic Church’s designs they’re inspired by. Staying true to the brand’s focus on wearability, the shoes swap a leather sole for malleable, non-slip rubber. Classic patterned serrations are a nod to the original designs, while the embossed Miu Miu and Church’s x Miu Miu logos on the tongue, sides and insoles add a touch of Couture.
There’s a play between the traditional and the contemporary; Miu Miu’s signature but also the timeless charm of Church’s. Smart, sleek and properly preppy, the collection celebrates fashion’s ability to reinvent and reimagine.
Miu Miu x Church’s models will be available for preview on the website from August 29 and in Miu Miu boutiques from September 6.
