Following the overwhelming success of the initial Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama collection, the Maison has decided to go for another round with the renowned Japanese artist, announcing its Drop 2 titled ‘Creating Infinity,’ which will be released on March 31, 2023.
The campaign, which was shot by acclaimed photographer Steven Meisel, shows Justin Timberlake, Lea Seydoux, Cate Blanchett, Naomi Osaka, Hoeyeon and Zhou Dongyu, star in a series of minimal yet artistic images, with vibrant expressionism inspired by some of Yayoi Kusama’s most recognisable designs.
For the second drop, The Maison continues the famous trademark; the Dots, by emphasising the artist’s expressive, joyful spirit in new designs. However, the collection will include new colorways for Faces, Pumpkin, Flower, and Infinity Dots.
The realms of women and men were presented through ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes, and accessories. The release read, ”The second wave of the INFINITY DOTS collection is found across categories and genders. Here, additional colourways include black & fuchsia, sky blue & white and white & red. Printed gabardine and 3D knits provide style and structure in signature women’s silhouettes realised in black & fuchsia.”
