If Coachella’s first weekend is still living rent-free in your mind, you’re not alone. Sabrina Carpenter raised the bar for headliners with an extravagant stage setup, complete with a line-up of custom Dior looks. Justin Bieber delivered a standout performance with a nostalgic run-through of ‘Baby’, ‘Beauty and a Beat’, and other hits. It was his first major return to the big stage in four years after cancelling his Justice world tour in 2022 due to health issues.
Meanwhile, Big Bang sent the internet into overdrive with their viral #Bangchella moment, proving that Coachella 2026’s opening weekend was as much about cultural impact as it was about the clothes.
Anticipation is already building to relive it all again – albeit with some surprises, surely, and new celebrity appearances – for weekend two (17 to 19 April). In the meantime, we take a closer look at what the performers of Coachella 2026 weekend one wore as it all settles in.
Sabrina Carpenter

For her previous Coachella 2024 performance, Sabrina Carpenter wore the buzzworthy “Jesus Was A Carpenter” T-shirt that divided the internet, but as one of the headliners this year, she took it a notch higher. For Sabrinawood, the ‘Manchild’ singer opted for a whole wardrobe of custom Dior looks by Jonathan Anderson. She began with a sequinned ruby-red minidress, featuring a V-neck, a belt, and some trusty Christian Louboutin Mary Jane heels. Carpenter also famously wore Louboutins during her Short n Sweet tour, proving their comfort for vigorous dance numbers.
She then changed into a champagne gold dress with billowy cape-like sleeves, complemented by custom Stuart Weitzman boots. Lingerie-like outfits are a Carpenter staple for her stage performances at this point, so it came as no surprise when she later emerged in a white bralette embellished with strings of pearls and a matching fringe skirt.
The final Dior look up her sleeve was a satin bustier-turned-bodysuit with semi-sheer lace, coupled with a theatrical cape. Many called it perfectly Old Hollywood as she ended her set with ‘Juno’, ‘Espresso’, and ‘Goodbye’. One word to describe the set? Phenomenal.
Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber marked his Bieberchella headline as his biggest live return in years, following the cancellation of his last tour due to health reasons. His record-breaking performance garnered 100 million views in 24 hours and spiked Coachella 2026 Google searches to an all-time high. He showed up comfortably in an oversized red hoodie and black “Speed Racer” shades, both from his brand, Skylrk, which launched last year. His puffa shorts were from a Vietnamese brand called Luu Dan, which has already fully sold out. He further amplified the overall laid-back mood with a pair of Loewe lug-soled cutout boots.
KATSEYE

KATSEYE delivered their inaugural Coachella performance with HUNTR/X, showcasing custom Lalune outfits that were both sparkly and alluring. The rising pop group embraced every Y2K maximalist trend – print on print, lots of textures, and bold silhouettes – but in pastel hues of blue, purple, and pink.
Central Cee

GAP? No, it’s CAP. For Coachella, Central Cee wore a custom red GAP hoodie with denim shorts. He completed the look with a statement monogram Louis Vuitton belt and red-and-white Prada sneakers, resulting in a seamless streetwear ensemble.
Addison Rae

For her Coachella debut performance, influencer-turned-popstar Addison Rae made a bold statement with her wardrobe changes. She opened her set with her hit track ‘Diet Pepsi’ in a grey tulle dress before transitioning into a red leather bikini set, and later, added a statement money scarf for ‘Money Is Everything‘.
PinkPantheress

PinkPantheress used her Coachella performance as a chance to showcase the newly launched Ugg Quill ballet sneakers. Her look leaned into a bold red-and-blue palette, which is a subtle nod to her British roots.
Laufey

Always an epitome of a whimsical princess, Laufey wore a custom white tulle Rodarte dress, embellished with meticulously hand-beaded Swarovski crystals. The sweetheart neckline resembles a look straight out of Barbie’s wardrobe. She paired it with her hair worn down, cascading in soft, domino-like waves.
FKA Twigs

After missing last year’s Coachella performance due to visa issues, FKA Twigs returned with a spectacular, redemptive performance. She donned a ruched white tank top with layered white and nude shorts and accessorised with knee-high laced boots. However, the star of the look was definitely her red locks, with spiked details and swirled in a headphone shape.
Sombr

‘Back To Friends’ singer Sombr revived the spirit of rock with an electrifying set. He turned up the heat with a custom see-through lace top and a leather suit by Alessandro Michele’s Valentino, spotted through the maison’s signature rockstuds and nellcôte accents. He also brought up special guest Billy Corgan to perform his 90s smash hit ‘1979′.
Stay tuned for updates from weekend two.
