Super Bowl Sunday turned into a Bad Bunny concert as he commanded the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show with the ease of a global icon.
The performance capped off an extraordinary streak for the Puerto Rican superstar. Just a week earlier, he claimed Album of the Year at the Grammys, making history as the first fully Spanish-language album to take home the top prize. He had joked about being unable to perform at the ceremony due to the Super Bowl contract constraints, but his absence only heightened the anticipation.
The man of the hour shut down the Levi’s Stadium at Santa Clara, California, with a choreographed performance that danced between a political assertion, a love letter to his Puerto Rican roots, and a fashion statement. “People only have to worry about dancing. They don’t even have to learn Spanish. Better they learn to dance. There is no better dance than the one that comes from the heart,” he said. And for those electrifying minutes, the world did exactly that – moving not just to the beat but also to his heritage and message.
Bad Bunny’s outfit details

Bad Bunny performed a medley of his biggest hits in a custom all-white outfit from Zara, styled by his long-time collaborators, Storm Pablo and Marvin Douglas Linares. The sweatshirt, collared top, matching chinos, tie, and moto-inspired gloves are all-white, creating a monochromatic outfit. He also donned a pair of his own Adidas x BadBo 1.0 sneakers, which drop tomorrow, and topped it off with a luxurious 37mm watch from Audemars Piguet Royal Oak in 18k yellow gold, which features a malachite stone dial.
The written name on his sweatshirt was not Bad Bunny or Benito, but his family name, Ocasio, with the number 64 written on it – believed to reference the birth year of his mother, Lysaurie Ocasio. “My name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio. And if today I’m here at the Super Bowl, it’s because I never, never stopped believing in myself,” he said in full Spanish during his performance. He kicked things off with Tití Me Preguntó, before following it with other groovy tracks such as CAFé CON RON and concluding with an emotional song choice of DtMF.
A surprise performance by Lady Gaga

During the fifth minute of Bad Bunny’s performance, right after a couple sweetly tied the knot in front of 70,000 people, Lady Gaga showed up in a surprise appearance. She put on her Sunday best – a ruched baby blue Flamenco dress with a drop-waist skirt, crafted in layers to evoke the feeling of a ballroom dress made for salsa dancing.
Her dress of choice was also intentional. The custom dress was created by LUAR, a brand founded by Raúl López and inspired by Dominican culture. On her chest, Gaga had a brooch of Puerto Rico’s signature flower, Flor de Maga, in a bright red hue matching her lips, nails, and heels.
