The Gucci Garden features a store, a restaurant and exhibition spaces inside the historic Palazzo della Mercanzia located in Florence’s Piazza della Signoria.
When Gucci launched their Home collection last year, we were beyond ecstatic. Now we’re caught up in a frenzy again over the opening of the Gucci Garden, which features a store, a restaurant and exhibition spaces inside the historic Palazzo della Mercanzia located in Florence’s Piazza della Signoria (insert excited squeals).
Conceived by none other than Creative Director Alessandro Michele, the Gucci Garden projects the House’s DNA of eclectic creativity from the inside out. Evident from the name itself, the triple-storey space artfully incorporates the House’s famous references to natural elements like plants, flowers and animals.
“The garden is real, but it belongs above all to the mind, populated with plants and animals: like the snake, which slips in everywhere, and in a sense, symbolises a perpetual beginning and a perpetual return,” Michele further explains of his latest conception.

Three-Michelin star Chef Massimo Bottura’s restaurant, Gucci Osteria takes up the ground floor together with a bazaar-like retail space spread across two large rooms; whereas the upper two floors house the Gucci Garden Galleria featuring clothing, accessories, video installations, artworks, documents and artefacts, organised into themed rooms.
Friends of the House, such as artists Jayde Fish, Trevor Andrew (AKA GucciGhost) and Coco Capitán have been invited to decorate walls, with their works sitting alongside Gucci fabric patterned wallpaper and Domenico Induno’s giant 19th century equestrian oil portrait, Fantino con bambina.
Products sold here are designed with a distinctive Gucci Garden label and come in exclusive packaging, which are not available at other Gucci stores. This includes shoes and bags in special materials, brocade skirts and coats, as well as several one-of-a-kind creations.

Seven days a week, year-round, with closures planned for 25th December, 1st January and 15th August.
Ticket Price
8 euros; 50% of each ticket sale will be donated to support restoration projects in the City of Florence. Concessions: entry to the Gucci Garden Galleria is free for people aged 65 and over, for children under the age of 12, for disabled persons, for citizens of Florence (Mondays only) and for employees of the company. Students can enter for a discounted fee of 6 euros.
