If you’re interested, you’ll need to buy them all at once as a single lot with no Buyer’s Premium for an estimated $800,000 to $1.2 million.
Auction house Sotheby’s has seen many a grand thing go under their hammer from Marie Antoinette’s jewellery to vintage sports cars. The latest trend in street and skate wear has not escaped its sight.
It has announced that it has the full set of Supreme Skateboards for sale, which includes all the rare and unused pieces the brand has accumulated in the production of its line of skateboards from 1998.
Called ’20 Years of Supreme’, the collection totalling 248 designs is the private collection diligently archived by collector Ryan Fuller and includes extremely rare pieces like the Monogram set, the Ryan McGuinness Pantone set, the Last Supper set, the Dan Colen set, the Damien Hirst set and the KAWS Box Logo set. Of course, the Supreme x Louis Vuitton Skateboard is also in the repertoire, and comes complete with its trunk, tool kit, wheels and shoulder strap.
If you’re interested, you’ll need to buy them all at once as a single lot with no Buyer’s Premium for an estimated $800,000 to $1.2 million.
“You can take each deck and break them down. Some are crazy expensive. Some are not that crazy, but the fact that it’s the entire collection makes it very unique and valuable. It’s the one and only complete collection of Supreme decks out there,” Fuller says of his collection.
He adds that the Dan Colen set was the most difficult to complete. “The last deck I needed to complete the collection was the Dan Colen deck. One of the five. I had four for years, and it took me ten years to find this last one. It ended up being found in a storage unit from a guy I’ve been working with in China for years. He forgot that he had it.”
The collection is now open for online bidding until 25 January 2019. Click here to place your bids.
