He is said to be worth $20 million, but not much is confirmed yet about this number as the 31-year-old Kennedy’s public career is only just starting to take off. What is known is that he is set to one day inherit a slice of the $278 million net worth belonging to his family name.
John Bouvier Kennedy Schlossberg, or Jack for short, is the third child and only son of Caroline Kennedy and Edwin Schlossberg. Caroline is the last surviving child of JFK and Jacqueline Kennedy, while Edwin is a New York-based artist and designer, and considered to be the pioneer in interactive design experiences.

Jack has two older sisters, Rose and Tatiana, and their childhood was mostly spent between their home in Manhattan’s Upper East Side and on their grandmother’s and now their mother’s Red Gate Farm in Martha’s Vineyard.
He went on to study at Yale, where he received his undergraduate degree, before heading to Harvard (which was also his grandfather’s alma mater) where he completed a joint Doctor of Jurispudence (JD) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme.

In 2023, Jack successfully passed the bar, which he casually announced on his Instagram with a picture of him paddleboarding.

With his family connection and Caroline Kennedy’s involvement in public service and charity, Jack is no newbie to the political circus of America. In 2008, when Caroline Kennedy served in Barack Obama’s campaign as co-chair of his Vice Presidential Search Committee, Jack would accompany her too, which is when he first met former US president Obama and current US President Joe Biden.

He also accompanied his mother on her diplomatic stints, first as ambassador to Japan where Jack lived and worked in 2015, and more recently with Caroline’s appointment as ambassador to Australia.
He’s also an active member of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum team, serving on the selection committee for the annual New Frontier award and Profiles in Courage award.

Though much of his life has been subject of media coverage thanks to his family name, Jack has mostly kept a private life – that is until this year when he started posting short videos, mostly comedic sketches and character impressions as well as political commentary (and oftentimes combining both at the same time) on his Instagram and TikTok account.
In July this year, he took on the role of political correspondent for Vogue, putting him front and centre (more than he already was) in the American politics scene.

His youth, charm, and penchant for comedy makes his content a hit among the younger generation, and he knows it. His approach with questions and interviews to political leaders are very much skewed towards the youth, as he works to bring more young people to the polls. Now with the elections coming up later this year, you can expect Jack’s IG to be even more populated by senators, governors and American political leaders as he speaks to them in his capacity as a journalist.

There’s another thing you can always expect to see on Jack’s feed – large bodies of water. His love of water sports seems to be something he’s cultivated from childhood (maybe from all the time spent in Red Gate Farm). Fishing, surfing, swimming or just spending the day by the beach, he does it all.

But his greatest love is the paddle board. You’ll find him paddle boarding in the waters of New York, Chicago (where he spent a few days for the Democratic National Convention in August 2024), and wherever he happens to find himself.

And nothing can stop him from taking to the water, not even the icy cold of winter!

His affinity for the board also extends to land, as you’d often see him with a penny board, longboard or wave board too, zipping round the streets of NY (and reciting poetry if you’re lucky).
