Fresh from the Bartender Talent Academy finals at Gemu Club KL, the House of Remy Martin is gearing up for another exciting announcement as part of its tricentennial celebrations. Such a momentous milestone for a cognac maker calls for special release – cue the Maison’s limited-edition 300th Anniversary Coupe.
Crafted by Cellar Master Baptiste Loiseau, the rare, unique expression pays tribute to the legacy of the House while offering an invitation to dream forward. It is created from the Rémy Martin “Réserve Perpétuelle”, a precious collection of exceptional eaux-de-vie sourced exclusively from the Grande Champagne terroir, saved and passed forward by generations of Cellar Masters. Located in the center of the Cognac region, this terroir is famous for the exceptional aromatic quality and ageing potential of its eaux-de-vie.
A toast to past, present and future
To craft the 300th Anniversary Coupe, Baptiste Loiseau drew on the Maison’s 290th Coupe – which, in turn, was nourished by the eaux-de-vie from the 275th Coupe before it – and enriched this collective work with a special selection of harmonious, elegant eaux-de-vie from Grand Champagne. This way, his creation establishes an invisible link between past and present; between generations of talent that are always dreaming forward.
“The perpetual reserve is as much a process as a legacy. When a new blend is created, part of it is set aside for future cellar masters. In turn, they will use it for the next Anniversary Coupe,” explains Baptiste Loiseau, Cellar Master of Rémy Martin. “To create the 300th Anniversary Coupe, I have come to enrich this blend with the treasures of our cellars and Grande Champagne terroir, which will be the legacy I leave to the next generation. By reserving some eaux-de-vie from this precious Coupe 300th Anniversary, the story will continue for future generations.”
Similarly, the glass carafe that houses this unique spirit takes inspiration from the iconic shape of the 250th Anniversary Coupe created in 1974. It is further enhanced with embossed lines that represent the forward motion of the Rémy Martin Centaur’s javelin, the iconic emblem of the Maison since 1870. Each decanter is unique, numbered, sealed and comes with its own bespoke wooden case containing a special note from the Cellar Master, along with a unique code to access exclusive digital content on remymartin.com.
A rare tasting experience
The 300th Anniversary Coupe boasts a luminous amber patina, with bright aromas of candied orange and passion fruit on the nose, rounded off by a delicate combination of sandalwood, mixed spices, and floral notes.
On the palate, the spirit holds an impressive structure that bursts with candied fruit and passion fruit notes. This is complemented by hints of figs, exotic fruits, and nuts, leaving a lingering elegant, fruity, and oaky finish.
With only 6,724 units of the 300th Anniversary Coupe available worldwide, this limited-edition release is sure to be highly coveted among cognac lovers and connoisseurs. What’s more, every purchase of a Couple bottle will include a complimentary dinner for two in June, where guests will be treated to a rare, exclusive 300th Anniversary Coupe tasting experience.
Ideal for sharing with loved ones in an intimate, refined setting, or to sip and savour at home, the 300th Anniversary Coupe is best enjoyed in a Cellar Master glass. Each sip promises to reveal additional layers of flavour, time and history – producing a luminous bouquet of flavours.
The Rémy Martin 300th Anniversary Coupe is priced at RM12,000 per bottle. For more information or purchasing details, contact Elyria Chiak at elyria.chiak@remy-cointreau.com, or visit the brand’s official Shopee page.
