Sip and savour at Penang Cocktail Week (PCW) 2024, the highly anticipated festival celebrating the art of mixology and bartending. From September 1 to September 8, the vibrant streets of George Town will come alive with over 80 guest bartenders showcasing their skills at more than 60 events.
This year, attendees can look forward to a stellar lineup featuring bartenders from renowned bars like Coa from Hong Kong, Jigger & Pony from Singapore, and Maybe Sammy from Sydney. These award-winning establishments will host bar takeovers, cocktail parties, and masterclasses, further elevating and highlighting Penang’s cocktail scene.
A fresh addition this year is the “Bar Banters,” an open forum seminar where industry leaders will discuss key topics such as health in hospitality, the Southeast Asian cocktail industry’s growth, and crafting a successful career beyond bartending. Esteemed panelists include Simon Ford of Ford’s Gin, Jay Khan of Coa, and Sarah Proietti of Maybe Sammy.

Highlight events like the PCW Cocktail Garden on September 8, in collaboration with Hin Market, and the Malaysian Invasion on September 5, featuring 17 Malaysian bars showcasing their unique concoctions. New this year, the PCW Party Yacht will provide an upscale experience, offering cocktail shifts against the stunning backdrop of George Town’s skyline.
With over 20 participating bars and a wide array of events designed to uplift the Penang bar community, PCW 2024 aims to elevate local talent and hospitality standards.
