Mid-Autumn Festival this year falls on the 21st of September, and despite the fact that there’s a high chance our celebrations will take to virtual spaces, Malaysians can still honour the tradition and the joy of the festival by munching on some delectable mooncakes.
Perfect with a hot cup of tea, mooncakes are more than just sweet or savoury indulgences, but they also make for decadent gifts and are works of art handcrafted by artisans who seek to preserve the tradition of mooncake-making. And this year, some of Kuala Lumpur’s most established hotels have not held back in creating truly luxurious flavours and combinations. Whether you’re looking to procure a few for your at-home celebrations or as heartfelt gifts, keep on reading to see some of the best places for mooncakes to enliven your Mid-Autumn Festival.
