The two-seater pays homage to the glorious “automotive haute couture” of hand-finished exclusive cabriolets.
Many a beautiful car was premiered at this year’s gathering of the most magnificent classic cars at Pebble Beach but none stole the show quite like Mercedes-Benz.
It presented a car that was the epitome of sensuality, emotional appeal, design, innovation and the peak of technical concept solutions.
Meet the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet, a car designed based on the concept of luxury of the future.
Beautiful in design…
The two-seater pays homage to the glorious “automotive haute couture” of hand-finished exclusive cabriolets.
The curved body of the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet draws inspiration the sports car from decades past but is given a touch of contemporary by means of powerful structural elements. Case in point lie in the upper vehicle body, in particular, a side feature line that runs from the radiator grille across the length of the car and stretches to the rear.
Inside, luxury is presented in a synthesis of intelligence and emotion. White leather presents a clean, minimalist aesthetic while blue lights evoke a futuristic high-tech experience. Modern lights are paired with classic wooden panels embedded with metal linings for mesh of novelty and classic.

…and technology
Designed as an electric car, its drive system has an output of 550kW, courtesy of a shallow underfloor battery that allows a range of over 500 kilometres on pure electric power. It’s also a four-wheel drive thanks to 4 compact permanent magnet synchronous electric motors, capable of performance typical of a sports car (0-100km/h in under 4 seconds and a top speed of 250km/h).
One of the most revolutionary features is its quick-charge functions; its DC charging system allows a charging capacity of up to 350kW; in other words, just 5 minutes of charging can garner you an approximate 100 kilometres.
