Now dubbed the Meghan Markle handbag, the £495 (RM2,700) midi-sized Strathberry tote is quite possibly the It-bag of the year.
While Meghan Markle has yet to officially ascend to the throne, it seems like she has been unofficially crowned the most influential fashion icon of the year by the masses. Case in point: The Strathberry tote she carried for her first royal engagement with Prince Harry sold out within 11 minutes after the photos surfaced on the Internet.
In addition, the brand revealed that their website traffic has increased by over 5,000 percent following Meghan’s public appearance with the bag in November last year. The last of 400 bags in the first batch was then auctioned off on eBay for a staggering £1,819 (approximately ($2,324 or RM9,000 to RM10,000) to raise funds for the Terrence Higgins Trust.
Now dubbed the Meghan Markle handbag, the £495 (RM2,700) midi-sized tote is quite possibly the It-bag of the year. Even without the Meghan factor, the bag is quite a catch with its sophisticated leather and suede-like finishing accentuated by the Edinburgh-based label’s iconic gold bar closure.
If you missed the chance to grab it before, you can pre-order its second line of production on their site by the end of this month.
