To commemorate 25 years of Armani/Casa, Giorgio Armani debuts Oriental Inks at Salone del Mobile 2025, a striking new collection inspired by East Asian artistry and antique craftsmanship.
Presented at the brand’s Corso Venezia boutique in Milan, the collection transforms the space into a contemplative journey through design, texture, and cultural references. With its fifteen street-facing windows, the display speaks to Armani’s enduring relationship with Milan, a city he views as both a stage and a source of inspiration.
“Dialogue with the city of Milan has become an essential part of my work as a creative and entrepreneur,” Armani shared. “After two years at Palazzo Orsini, I wanted to refocus attention on the Corso Venezia store – a dynamic, ever-evolving space designed to create new visual experiences.”

The Oriental Inks collection is a masterclass in balancing structure with softness. Inspired by traditional Japanese interiors and the fluidity of ink wash paintings, the pieces are arranged across a series of rooms framed by rice paper panels. Dragons, bamboo, and jungle foliage appear as recurring motifs, chosen for their symbolism of strength, resilience, and vitality.
Armani has also partnered with renowned British atelier de Gournay to bring many of the designs to life through painstaking hand-painting and embroidery. The result is a series of standout pieces that evoke the intricacy of haute couture.
Velvet and satin surfaces are embroidered using up to fifty materials, including metallic threads, sequins, glass beads, and silk organza, turning each furniture piece into a tactile work of art.

Highlights from the collection include the reimagined VIRTÙ cabinet, with a light wood finish and a gold-leaf dragon that wraps around a katana-inspired handle, and the ALBERT three-seater sofa in golden satin, embroidered with a lush jungle motif.
The SEINE console, upholstered in lichen green velvet, features a dragon rendered in metallic thread and beads, its movement captured in dynamic, three-dimensional embroidery.
The colour palette reflects Armani’s refined sensibilities – subdued neutrals enriched by unexpected bursts of viridian green, lichen, and deep red. Notable newcomers include the AMEDEO bed, upholstered in hand-embroidered silk, and the ALADINO floor lamp with its bold red shade. Accessories and tableware, such as the AMELIE velvet boxes and the ARTHUR porcelain dinner set, reinforce the collection’s harmony between form and function.

Lighting on the other hand, takes on an ethereal quality with the ANTHEA table and pendant lamps, which feature thin selenite diffusers that emit a soft, ambient glow. Every detail, from the brass inlays of the TROCADERO table to the stitched leather of the OPEN coffee table, speaks to the depth of craftsmanship and thought behind the design.
With Oriental Inks, Giorgio Armani continues to expand the conversation around luxury living. This is a collection for those who appreciate timelessness, who seek refinement in quiet details, and who understand that true elegance lies in thoughtful craftsmanship. Explore the full collection here.
