The Grand Prix Season Singapore (GPSS) 2025 once again proved why it remains one of the crown jewels of the global motorsport calendar. Now in its 16th year, the home of Formula 1 night racing recorded the second-highest crowd in its history – and the largest since 2023, when circuit changes were first introduced.
Across the three-day weekend, an incredible 300,641 fans descended upon Marina Bay, marking an 11.7% increase from last year’s 269,072. Even as the engines roared and lights illuminated across the skyline, what set this year apart was not just the race itself, but the elevated lifestyle experience surrounding it.
More than just a race, the Singapore Grand Prix marks a citywide celebration of speed, music, and sophistication. Read on to relive the magic of this year’s annual night race.
The race that stopped the city

Day 1 opened with the usual buzz of practice sessions under the lights, as teams fine-tuned their setups and fans filled the stands early to soak up the atmosphere. By Day 2, the atmosphere had shifted, and the tension was unmistakable as qualifying got underway. George Russell laid down a statement lap to clinch pole position, edging out Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen and McLaren’s Oscar Piastri in a nail-biting session that set up a tantalising grid for race night.
When the lights went out on Sunday evening, anticipation turned to awe. Russell converted his pole into victory, becoming the eighth different race-winner in Singapore’s storied history. The night wasn’t short on drama as McLaren clinched their second consecutive Constructors’ title, though tensions between their drivers added a twist to an otherwise triumphant evening for the team.
Where music meets motorsport
The Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix has long blurred the lines between sport and spectacle and 2025 raised the bar yet again. The entertainment lineup was nothing short of legendary. Each night, around 65,000 fans flocked to the Padang to catch headliners including G-DRAGON, Foo Fighters, CL, Lewis Capaldi, and the legendary Sir Elton John, who closed the weekend with a performance for the ages.
Representing Malaysia, Belle Sisoski captivated the crowd on Day 2 with her ethereal vocals and masterful performance on traditional instruments. Other acts we caught during GPSS 2025 included the pulsating beats of Indo Warehouse and the indie charm of The Wombats. With various performances spread across the circuit, the weekend felt like a full-blown music festival celebrating every genre and generation.
Fuel for the fans
For F1 ticket holders, the perks went far beyond the paddock. Singapore’s vibrant culinary scene once again pulled out all the stops with exclusive F&B partnerships and special privileges for racegoers, turning the weekend into a gastronomic experience to match the thrill on track.
Before heading to the circuit on Day 1, we stopped by Ka-EN Grill & Sushi Bar, conveniently located just a short walk away. It was the perfect pre-race fuel stop, as we ordered a hearty salmon mentaiko rice bowl and a refreshing wagyu beef salad that balanced flavour and comfort in every bite.
The next day, we switched things up and dined at Sol & Luna, one of 1-Group’s many participating restaurants. Craving pasta, we were rewarded with dishes that hit all the right notes – rich, comforting and satisfying – paired with stunning city views that added a touch of indulgence to the experience.
Whether you are fuelling up before the race or winding down after, there is always something good and delicious waiting just around the corner here at the Singapore Grand Prix.
Sago Festival of Speed
A short detour from the track brought us to the Sago Festival of Speed in Duxton Hill, a vibrant family-friendly block party that captured the heart of race week’s community spirit. We got the tickets that came with two signature drinks from Sago House, the award-winning local cocktail bar known for its rotating weekly menu and inventive flair, along with a cute trucker cap to take home.
For those looking to test their reflexes, another ticket option offered access to a race simulator experience that put your driving skills to the test. Surrounding Sago House was a row of booths featuring vintage bikes, artisan vendors, and a tantalising mix of street food and craft cocktails. The festival had something for everyone, from locals seeking a laid-back weekend to fans celebrating their passion for speed.
Elevation Lounge by Moët & Chandon
Luxury quite literally took flight this year at the Elevation Lounge by Moët & Chandon, marking the brand’s first-ever hot air balloon experience in Southeast Asia. Along Bayfront Avenue, guests were treated to a stunning aerial perspective of Marina Bay – a symbolic journey of celebration and grandeur that began nightly at 8 p.m.
The lounge blended heritage and indulgence in true Moët fashion. Between the elegant champagne tastings, photo-worthy backdrops, and a chance to win the coveted balloon ride via a daily lucky draw, it was the perfect intersection of glamour and exhilaration. Each sip came with a glittering view of the Bayfront, making it a moment that truly captured the excitement and elegance of the GPSS experience.
The Singapore Night Race – Home of Champions
At Marina Bay Sands, the F1 weekend transformed into a sweeping celebration of luxury and excitement, with star-studded events, fine dining, and exclusive showcases everywhere you looked. One standout was the Scuderia Ferrari HP show car displayed in the Hotel Tower 1 lobby, giving fans a rare close-up of Italian automotive excellence.
As night fell, Marina Bay Sands and the ArtScience Museum glowed in Ferrari red – a striking visual ode to the city’s annual racing spectacle. Inside the hotel, parties carried on into the early hours, where racing insiders and stylish guests mingled against the Singapore city skyline.
With its perfect blend of speed, spectacle, and style, Singapore continues to stand out as one of the most unforgettable stops on the F1 calendar. Every corner of the city seemed alive with motorsport energy – pop-up showcases, fashion collabs, DJ sets, and more filled the weekend with nonstop activity.
There was simply too much to cover in a single trip – and that’s exactly the charm of it. Whether you were sipping champagne under the stars, rocking to Foo Fighters at the Padang, or testing your driving reflexes at Sago House, GPSS 2025 offered something unforgettable for everyone.
