The multi-hyphenate will be partnering with CBD beauty label Lord Jones to launch hemp-derived CBD skincare products for her new brand, “Happy Dance”.
American celebrity Kirsten Bell is adding yet another label to her professional porfolio of acting, singing, directing, producing and writing: beauty entrepreneur.
Announced last month, the multi-hyphenate will be partnering with CBD beauty label Lord Jones to launch hemp-derived CBD skincare products for her new brand, “Happy Dance”. She joins a list of other celebrities who have launched beauty brands, including the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Millie Bobby Brown and Lady Gaga.
For the unfamiliar, CBD is short for Cannabidiol – a naturally-occurring chemical compound found in cannabis plants like marijuana and hemp. Contrary to popular belief, CBD is non-psychoactive and does not make one ‘high’. It is proven to have anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant benefits and has been rising in popularity in the skincare world in recent years.
“I first discovered Lord Jones CBD products two years ago and have been using them ever since,” the 39-year-old said in a press release. “I was skeptical at first, but was quickly blown away by the quality, integrity, and consistency in all of the products.”
The industry leading CBD brand is known for its gumdrops, ‘good-mood elixirs’ and ingestible face oils, to name a few. Bell names the brand’s body lotion as one of the products she can’t live without.
She added: “When I met Lord Jones founders Rob and Cindy, we aligned on a shared desire to make a CBD line that would be accessible to a wider audience at a lower price point while maintaining the same trusted quality as the Lord Jones brand.”
No further details on what product launches lie in store yet, but we can expect a collection of “everyday pick-me-ups” – capped in packaging mirroring the celebrity’s peppy personality.
