Kate Spade New York proudly celebrated the grand opening of its Suria KLCC store on Wednesday evening, with more than 100 distinguished guests including international celebrities as well as local personalities and influencers in attendance.
Gracing the momentous occasion was Vice President of Tapestry SEA & ANZ Emmanuel Ruelland, who presented the opening speech. He was then joined by celebrated South Korean actress Oh Yeon Seo, Malaysian actress Scha Alyahya and the Suria KLCC management team for the ribbon cutting ceremony.
Guests were invited to explore the new 1,550-square-feet-store envisioned by creative director Nicola Glass, which embraces a modern expression of optimistic femininity. The pink and rose gold interiors and ubiquitous spade logo reflected the brand’s original house codes, whilst the subtly curved fixtures, pedestals and displays emphasised its contemporary vision.
The store also provides personalisation services for the brand’s small leather goods and signature leather unlock bracelet with its new embossing machine. Guests of the evening were given first opportunity to personalise a luggage tag with their initials while they enjoyed mocktails and canapes to upbeat music by DJ Ira Roslan.
Following the store tour, selected guests were treated to a private dinner and exclusive preview of the brand’s summer 2019 collection. Malaysian singer-songwriter Bil Musa performed a medley of modern hits as models walked out in colourful, eclectic summer prints. Singer-actress Daiyan Trisha then took over the stage to serenade the crowd over a three-course meal.
