To honour the significance of love stories, Guerlain decided to reintroduce three of its most iconic fragrances along with five new scents for the Les Légendaires Collection. The woman who captured Aimé Guerlain’s heart during his studies in England was the inspiration behind the creation of Jicky. This groundbreaking perfume, born out of a tribute to their youthful romance, became the first of its kind in the modern era. With its refreshing lemon-lavender fougère accord juxtaposed against warm, woody vanilla notes, Jicky has mesmerised men and women alike.
L’Heure Bleue – A Legend of Everlasting Love
L’Heure Bleue, created in 1912 by Jacques Guerlain, captures a sense of harmony and grace in a moment of stillness. The name Mitsouko, which means mystery in Japanese, is the name of the protagonist in Claude Farrère’s novel, La Bataille. Jacques Guerlain was inspired by this character to create a chypre fragrance that is subtly androgynous yet fiercely feminine. Perfumer Thierry Wasser crafted a collection of Bulgarian roses called a “communelle” to capture the feeling of this unchangeable romantic.
