It’s a girl!
Even in the midst of a year gone wrong, we are still blessed with nuggets of good news to bring some light to our lives. One of them being Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik having welcomed their first child together in New York – a bouncing baby girl. News of Hadid’s pregnancy was first made official in May during her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love🥺💕
The couple announced the birth on Instagram, sharing intimate black-and-white pictures of their daughter’s tiny hand. Hadid accompanied the image with the caption: “Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love.” As for Zayn, he wrote in his caption: “Our baby girl is here, healthy and beautiful. To try to put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to cal her mine, and thankful for the life we will have together.”
The couple have been staying together in self-isolation at the Hadid family farm in Pennsylvania. They have been the on-and-off “It Couple” since November 2015, and made their first couple red-carpet appearance at the Met Gala in 2016. In August, Hadid posted a series of maternity shots on her Instagram feed with the caption “growin an angel”, photographed by Luigi and Iango.
Hadid now joins a handful of celebrities who have also welcomed their own bundle of joy this year – such as Chloë Sevigny, Ciara, and Sophie Turner.
