In 2018, the world was presented the Maserati Levante. A Granturismo in the body of an SUV, boasting 0-100km/h in 4.1 seconds, and a potential speed of 302 km an hour.
This year, Maserati’s Ghibli and Quattroporte is reimagined in the Trofeo versions, alongside the Levante. They will feature the same distinguishing features and remain true to their original identities, but in a “superlative new expression”. True to the Trofeo collection’s slogan – The Art of Fast, the new super-sedans will boast the power to reach 326 km an hour, making them the fastest factory-issued Maserati sedans ever. The Quattroporte Trofeo is able to zoom from 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds, while the Ghibli Trofeo tops that with 0-100km/h in 4.3 seconds.
The new super-sedans are powered by a 580 horsepower V8 engine, and will take to the roads on 21-inch wheels – the largest sizes within this range. The hood of the Ghibli now sports two supplementary air vents, while the lateral air vents are bordered in red and embellished with the Trofeo name. The interiors are fashioned in full-grained Pieno Fiore natural leather, and like the exteriors, will be fitted with 100% carbon-fibre inserts. Meanwhile, the Levante Trofeo has been restyled with new rear lights, a new infotainment system, and new design features.
Let’s talk about the upgraded infotainment for a hot minute. It’s now equipped with a processor that’s four times as powerful, screen resolution that’s been enhanced tenfold, and a memory that boasts twice the capacity of the previous version. The new system’s high-resolution screen offers a more much enjoyable, complete, and customisable user experience, thanks to it sharing similarities with a tablet.
In honour of the new super-fast icons being made in Italy, the Trofeo trio will be dressed in colours of the Italian flag. The Quattroporte model comes in a stunning, deep emerald green, the Levante in sleek white, and Ghibli in fiery red.
