Following the first successful FC Supperclub back in October, the second chapter saw a collaboration with Visit Monaco, bringing together like-minded friends to savour some classic modern European cuisine at Studio Restaurant KL.
As part of the Studio & Friends chef dinner series, Chef Christian Recomio, owner-chef of Studio Restaurant KL and Chef Su Kim Hock of One MICHELIN Star Au Jardin restaurant in Penang, came together and designed a four-hands menu, skilfully fusing European and French flavours.
The night started with a mingling session fuelled by whisky, wine, and great company. The crowd also saw H.E. Dato Sri Naresh Mohan – Honorary Consul of the Consulate of Monaco in Kuala Lumpur – among friends of FirstClasse Malaysia like Tunku Elana Khyra, Othman Mirzan, Dr. Jezamine Lim, Jazeman Jaafar, and Naddy Rahman, to name a few.
Before dinner was served, Choy Teh, PR Manager of Visit Monaco, gave a welcome speech to introduce Monaco and its fabulous cities. Notably, the independent microstate that occupies part of the French Riviera is undergoing a makeover, including the opening of several high-class restaurants, a theatre, and plenty of new developments by 2025.

Following her presentation, guests were served the restaurant’s signature starter – the crème fraîche parker house rolls with cultured butter, foie gras, and crispy potatoes. Then came an eight-course dinner that opened with a sardine parfait tartlet, kedgeree, and Tattie inspired by Chef Recomio’s Scottish heritage.
Also on the menu were the Penang-grown grilled lip mussels, mud crab, short ribs, and Chef Recomio’s renowned salmon dish from the sustainably-farmed Loch Duart, located on the west coast of Scotland.
After dinner, our esteemed guests, including H.E. Dato Sri Naresh Mohan and Choy Teh, continued to enjoy the lively company, before the night ended with photo opportunities, capturing laughter and newfound friendships.
