Celebrating a milestone 300 years of excellence, Hennessy, the revered French cognac house, has introduced its first-ever immersive exhibition in Asia, dubbed Crafted, by Hennessy. Held at The Exchange TRX in Kuala Lumpur from 25th October to 3rd November 2024, the exhibition invites visitors to explore a multi-sensory journey through centuries of craftsmanship and innovation.
Featuring five rare exhibits on Malaysian soil for the first time, this experience is a tribute to Hennessy’s artistry and mastery in cognac-making, offering visitors a glimpse into a world defined by sophistication and savoir-faire. Crafted, by Hennessy unfolds through a series of meticulously curated spaces, each dedicated to unique elements of Hennessy’s heritage:
Foundation of a Legend: First, visitors will be greeted by a virtual representation of Richard Hennessy, the founder of the maison, sharing his bold vision. This section pays homage to the intertwined legacy of the Hennessy and Fillioux families, who have refined the craft of cognac over generations. The space also traces Hennessy’s deep roots in Malaysia, highlighting key milestones over the past 155 years that have cemented the brand’s position in the region.
Excellence by Nature: The next section delves into the intricate process of cognac-making, exploring the terroir, grapes, and methods behind each bottle of Hennessy.
Inside Cognac: Visitors will also gain insight into the double distillation process, which defines the essence of Hennessy’s cognac range. There’s even a used oak barrel imported from Cognac for the exhibition, allowing visitors to feel and smell the aromas of eaux de vie left by the aging stage.
The Art of Hennessy: Through interactive displays, this segment highlights the painstaking blending techniques of Hennessy’s master blenders, providing an insightful glimpse into the intricacies of cognac craftmanship.
Global Icons: With its worldwide presence as an emblem of luxury, Hennessy’s influence extends beyond spirits into the realms of art, music, and pop culture through collaborations with congenial global icons.
Wonders of Creation: Showcasing a selection of limited-edition pieces, this area illustrates Hennessy’s commitment to innovation while honouring long-standing traditions.
