Food has long been a connector of cultures, one that feeds the body in its barest form, and fuels camaraderie on a higher social level. This season, we explore the role of food in our Asian culture in connecting people and forging friendships. We flew in Michelin starred chefs from Singapore and Bangkok to be part of our Malaysian eating cultures and share with them our dining scene – both street and fine – to exchange and learn how differently we eat and, more importantly, how much likeness we also share.
In this third episode, one of Kuala Lumpur’s oldest and most enduring French restaurants, Lafite in Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur, has the privilege of hosting Chef Emmanuel Stroobant of two Michelin-starred Saint Pierre and Shoukouwa, Singapore.
Helmed by Executive Chef Scott Henderson, Lafite has stood the tests of time, standing tall since its founding in 1985 with a menu that is constantly refreshed while staying true to its identity as a truly French restaurant.
What does the award-winning chef Emmanuel think of Chef Scott’s classic French food that has garnered the approval of the likes of Malaysian royalty?
How will Chef Chris’s brand of playful cuisine drawn from his experience and personal fancy appeal to the two Singaporean chefs?
We are giving one (1) couple a chance to experience a 2D/1N staycation at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur for a taste of the hotel’s hospitality. To be in the running to win, just follow these simple steps:
