Atop Paris’ Cheval Blanc stands a crystalline bubble that overlooks the breathtaking French capital. The cynosure of Cheval Blanc’s urban Maison, Céleste is a testament to what its name translates into: heavenly. Delighting guests to an ambience that exudes luxury and comfort, the vault houses about thirty seats for an intimate bar experience.
The very thought is rather magical: lounging beneath the star-lit skies and sipping on indulgent cocktails where the blue hovering above feels within reach. Céleste is imbued with a gentle warmness from the dimmed lamps and candles positioned throughout. The modern yet cosy choice of furniture further amplifies a sense of quiet lavishness that is integral to the rooftop bar.
With an evolving menu that is bound to fete its guests, Céleste’s offerings is based on the rare spirits that Cheval Blanc Paris’ mixologists carefully choose. The cocktails served fall under two categories, Cocktails Vintage and Nos Créations respectively. The former features a selection of three classic cocktails such as the gourmet liqueur Rob Roy, 1984 and the creamy Grasshopper, 1908. A parade of creativity, the latter comprises novel aperitifs such as a chocolate-tinged cocktail, Goldfinger’s Drink and a unique blend of wasabi, vanilla and gin in Wasabi Sour.
Céleste elevates the session with a selection of morsels to pair the cocktails, including temakis and gunkans crafted by Chef Takuya Watanabe. As for those who seek to indulge a little more, they can opt for dishes like the Sacristain Millet et Quinoa, a quinoa puff pastry with smoked eggplant cavia and Caviar Osciètre, a serving of the Ossetra caviar with a salted mini bun.
A reflection of an imaginative bar experience, Céleste guarantees a cherished affair in the City of Lights.
The experience at Céleste is available upon reservation only until March 31, 2024.
