The worlds of beauty and living are bound to be graced by a forthcoming wonder – an affiliation between two stalwarts in lavish experiences, the Guerlain Spa at Beau-Rivage Palace awaits a grand début. The two legendary Houses seek to redefine the pleasures of living, shrouding it in luxury by offering guests an experience that transcends a mere spa treatment.
Resting within an exceptional setting, the Guerlain Spa finds itself as an enchanting new element to the hotel burrowed in the heart of Lausanne. With a genesis in Paris that dates from 1828, Guerlain is the chef-d’œuvre of perfumer Pierre-Francois-Pascal Guerlain who helmed a plethora of innovations that revolutionised beauty. A little over a century later, the House created one of the world’s very first ‘Spas’ at 68 avenue des Champs-Élysées – in the years since, the decadent Guerlain experience has traversed the globe with holistic pampering for bodies and faces.
The much-coveted Guerlain repose has reached the shores of the Swiss Riviera where the legendary Beau-Rivage Palace resides. Patterned after the House’s elegance, the Spa fills a congenial space created with natural materials such as wood and marble where a warm palette of pale gold and honey infuses throughout. The Guerlain Spa covers a vast 1,500 square metres and features eight treatment rooms, which includes a double suite and a relaxation room. Within these, each changing room offers the best of both worlds: a steam room and sauna for a touch of heat and an ice cave and ice fountain for a feel of cool. In a pursuit to augment the rejuvenating experience, the Spa flaunts a yoga studio as well as a fitness room overlooking the lake as well as two swimming pools – indoor and outdoor – and a yoga studio.
The touch of Guerlain is distinct, a form of art in its own right – the treatments invoke the hand which communicates and senses with carefully personalised gestures. The Spa at Beau-Rivage Palace emphasises the sentiment, with its menu featuring an array of signature treatments such as facials and massages now reimagined with modern techniques.
Beyond the classics, the Spa offers two special treatment rituals that draw inspiration from its location: ‘Riviera Glow’ and ‘Ballet on Lake Geneva’. The former is a facial that honours the ethereal Swiss coasts – the treatment cleanses with micro-crystals before incorporating light therapy and ultra-draining facial gestures. The latter is a sensorial face and body treatment that pays tribute to Lausanne’s Béjart ballet – combining the tactility of hands and brushes, the treatment is rooted in relaxation.
A seamless union of Guerlain’s savoir faire and the Hotel’s splendour, the Spa promises an experience that rewrites luxury wellness.
The Guerlain Spa at the Beau-Rivage Palace will welcome guests from 1st February 2024. Visit the website to learn more.
