Since its 1943 founding in Sweden, IKEA has created a better everyday life by offering well-designed, functional home furnishings at affordable prices. In support of democratising music production at home, IKEA has teamed up with Swedish House Mafia to empower music lovers to unleash their creativity.
Inspired by the beats of electronic dance music, the OBEGRÄNSAD collection is designed to allow many rising creatives in music and digital arts to build the ideal home studio with good quality and design that is accessible. The collection is set to launch globally in October.
OBEGRÄNSAD which translates as “unlimited” in Swedish, is aimed at anyone who values music experiences at home and beyond. The collection seeks to support the creative endeavours of the many people who create, perform, and enjoy music at home.
The collection is inspired by the band’s insights about the needs of those starting up their music or creative career. “We have admired IKEA’s approach to making things affordable and accessible to a wide range of people since we were children,” says Swedish House Mafia.
OBEGRÄNSAD collection also aims to connect inspiring artists who have limited means to showcase their limitless creativity. Additionally, IKEA hopes to encourage and inspire creators to express their passion and creativity in home music production.
The Swedish house music supergroup consisting of Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso was formed in 2008 and has over 2.51 million subscribers on YouTube. The trio is best known for their biggest hit single, Don’t You Worry Child.
