Expertly crafted by Royal Salute Master Blender, Sandy Hyslop, The Malts Blend holds a unique position as Royal Salute’s first ever blended malt. The whisky is the only one of its kind, made with more than 21 precious single malts from five whisky regions of Scotland, and aged for a minimum of 21 years.
As a result, a symphony of flavours shines through in this indulgent and profound Scotch whisky, with each single malt playing its part perfectly in time to bring out the best in each other’s notes. Opening with an aroma that’s a soft melody of pears, sweet peaches and mandarins, the blend inspires the palate with notes of apricots, vanilla and banana creme brulee, along with a hint of spice.
Packaging royalty
Royal Salute was created to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in 1953. Honouring the brand’s royal heritage, this 21 year old Malts Blend comes in packaging that showcases its rich history in a contemporary, colourful way.
The box housing the precious whisky, with its regal and dignified exterior, opens up to a vibrant illustrated world crafted in collaboration with esteemed fine artist Kristjana S. Williams. In the striking depiction, a royal menagerie of exotic animals are seen roaming the grounds around the Tower of London, inspired by the site’s 600-year history.
Resting at the centre of the lively artistic interior is The Malts Blend, housed in a beautifully crafted porcelain flagon, and glazed in a rich emerald hue inspired by the rare stones set in the Imperial State Crown.
