The Serpenti Through The Eyes of Ambush collection sees Yoon drawing inspiration from the brightly-colored Tree Python of Southeast Asia.
Following its collaboration with Alexander Wang, Bulgari is now teaming up with Tokyo-based designer Yoon Ahn for its next “Serpenti Through the Eyes Of” capsule collection. Kickstarted in 2017, the series highlights the Roman jeweller’s iconic Serpenti Forever bag, along with a limited-edition range of handbags and accessories.
The Serpenti Through The Eyes of Ambush collection sees Yoon drawing inspiration from the brightly-colored Tree Python of Southeast Asia to create the vivid blue, green, purple and aluminum palette of her Serpenti designs.
“For this capsule collection, I wanted to express the bold and contemporary character of Serpenti. Snakes are wondrous and fascinating creatures of nature but with Bvlgari they also became a symbol of glamour in constant evolution. Natural beauty meets human creation, all guided by a contemporary aesthetic,” Yoon explains.
Having grown up with pop culture, Yoon’s creative vision highlights her knack for real-life inspired creations with a high end touch through vibrant hues, soft shapes and a refreshingly cool look. The multi-talented creative designed three new silhouettes for the capsule, including the Serpenti shoulder bag, Serpenti belt bag and Serpenti Minaudière clutch.
Embodying the luxe yet dynamic spirit of the collection, the Serpenti shoulder bag comes with a top handle and soft quilted body in Nappa Leather. Its curvilinear silhouette evokes the sensuality of the snake, accentuated further by chunky metallic details and a detachable shoulder strap for versatile styling.
Arriving in the same striking colourways, the Serpenti belt bag offers a trendy accessory that’s adaptable for day and night. It comes with a removable belt and a detachable shoulder strap that allows it to be worn around the waist, as a playful cross body or even as a shoulder bag.
Lastly, the Serpenti miniaudiere debuts in a heart-shaped design with a cord shoulder strap and tassel to add a playful charm while matching your eveningwear. All three bags are adorned with a camouflaged snakedhead closure that blends in with the nappa leather body, with juxtaposing shiny mother-of-pearl or black onyx eyes.
Aside from the bags, the collection also includes a heart-shaped coin case, three different credit card holders singed with the BVLGARI AMBUSH logo and a three-coil Serpenti bracelet in coloured Nappa Leather and metallic snakehead – all in equally edgy silhouettes.
