The eleventh edition of Echo in the Night has returned, this time with a special collaboration with city-wide known chef and restaurant owner Darren Chin.
Chef Makoto Saito Sam is organising the eleventh edition of Echo in the Night this November. The Japanese chef puts together yet another treat for the taste buds, this time in collaboration with Chef Darren Chin.
There will be two sessions for this edition of Echo in the Night. The first will be in Sushi Hibiki, while the second will be in Chef Darren Chin’s establishment, D.C Restaurant – giving customers a taste of two continents.
Chef Saito and Chef Darren, both culinary connoisseurs in their own right, are coming together to present you with an unforgettable Japanese and French dining experience respectively.
Hailing from Tokyo, Japan, Chef Saito worked at a traditional counter sushi restaurant before moving to other countries – before finally landing in Malaysia where he is now the face of sushi restaurant Sushi Hibiki. Along the way, Chef Saito realized the other important skills a chef must posses besides excellence in the kitchen – the ability to converse with customers. He can now often be seen engaging his customers with a smile and great conversation while charming them with his first class cuisine.
Meanwhile Malaysian-born Chef Darren trained at Le Cordon Bleu Paris where he learned the fine art of French cooking. With a 14-year professional cooking career behind him, Chef Darren is a believer in unpretentious, natural, tasty food and is also the mastermind behind the award-winning French cuisine establishment, Restaurant D.C located in Taman Tun Dr Ismail.
