When you have a mother as iconic and successful as Cindy Crawford, it may seem like you have pretty big shoes to fill but Kaia Gerber has certainly held her own. Now only 17, she models for the top Fashion Week runways and represents several brands as their ambassador – latest of which is YSL Beauté.
“To be the new face of YSL Beauté is an opportunity to write a new story full of fun, colour and makeup,” Kaia says of the appointment. “I love the DNA of a brand that is so subversive while being so luxurious and cool!”
With her effortless style and support of 3.9 million followers on Instagram, there’s no doubt she is already at the vanguard of fashion’s evolving landscape. Her new role will serve to underpin her youthful image and innate confidence – the perfect portrayal of the YSL Beauté girl.
Announced at the beginning of the month, her partnership with the playful, eclectic makeup brand will present three new campaigns beginning January 2019.
Shot by renowned photographer David Sims, she will first star as the face of Rouge Volupté Shine, the iconic moisturizing lipstick. Campaigns for Touche Éclat and Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils will follow after.
