Cheers to a more exciting year with Martell
It seems like only yesterday when December arrived, but now, Christmas is only a week away. You’ve probably finished getting gifts for your loved ones, and if you have yet to get one for yourself, worry not as we have something incredible for you.
Though Christmas has yet to arrive, some folks are already preparing for Chinese New Year, like Martell. For the upcoming celebration at the end of January 2025, the French maison has joined forces with contemporary Chinese artist, Wu Jian’an, to release the limited-edition range of its exquisite cognacs – Cordon Bleu and Noblige.
Titled ‘The Spirit of Taste’, collectors can see the Beijing-born artist’s complex and colourful collages on the bottles and boxes, paying homage to the traditions of Chinese folk art. There’s depth and complexity in the designs, including Martell’s emblems like the swift, grapevines, and pot stills, as well as symbolic components of Chinese New Year.
The artwork gains depth and complexity from the intricate designs that combine Martell’s emblems, like as the swift, grapevines, and pot stills, with symbolic components of the Chinese New Year.
Martell Cordon Bleu Limited Edition
Known for its remarkable smoothness and richness, Martell Cordon Bleu also offers a full-bodied and harmonious flavour profile. On the first sip, you’ll experience vibrant, rich and complex notes of candied plum, apple, mocha coffee, toasted almonds, and vetiver.
On the nose, the deep, golden copper cognac releases a series of aromas like dried fruits, nuts, hints of spice, wood, and oak. You’ll also notice notes like cinnamon and vanilla on the palate. At the base, oak and spice linger on the palate, giving you a warm sensation.
Martell Noblige Limited Edition
Sharing very similar notes with Cordon Bleu, the Noblige is also made with fruity notes like pear and prune, on top of vanilla pod and caramelised grape. The mix gives this cognac an extraordinary woody character with hints of cedar and myrrh. At the base, the Noblige offers an elegantly structured blend of strength and finesse, offering you a warm and lingering feel.
The Martell Cordon Bleu and Noblige are best savoured on the rocks or with a splash of water to reveal a more fruity, floral, and spicy flavour.
