London Fashion Week '23: see highlights from our favourite Britain heritage

Dame Vivienne Westwood, whose memorial ceremony was attended by a bunch of A-listers including Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham and Marc Jacobs on February 16, might be viewed as the inspiration for the duration of London Fashion Week A/W 2023. For designers like JW Anderson, Simon Rocha, and Christopher Kane, Vivienne’s influence was strongly felt.

Speaking of, on Sunday, February 19, JW Anderson unveiled his 15th anniversary collection, which drew inspiration from both his own design history and Scottish dancer and choreographer Michael Clark, who pioneered the fusion of dance with pop culture and conceptual art.

Daniel Lee, a former director at Bottega Veneta, made his debut on Monday, February 20, replacing Riccardo Tisci as Burberry‘s heritage brand’s chief creative officer. In his debut campaign, Lee had introduced a new logo for the company and made a reference to the Burberry Prorsum line. As for Richard Quinn—taking cues from Frances Hodgson Burnett’s classic novel as his source of inspiration, he designed an alluring secret garden for his exhibition.
