It’s 2017 and Instagram is still taking over our lives day by day. From discovering mouth-watering food to perfectly symmetrical buildings, there’s no surprise that the platform eats up so much of our time.

Travel accounts are some of our favourites to follow – they allow us to see the world through different lenses and inspire us to get out of the four corners of our room and embark on a new adventure. Here are 10 travel accounts to follow on Instagram, featuring stunning landscapes and creative portraits of people, wildlife, food and architecture around the world.

Chris is an avid explorer, photographer, speaker and creative director who travels everywhere in the world to capture stories that inspire harmonious interaction between man and nature. Follow him as he visits cascading waterfalls, vast desertlands, and the magical Northern Lights.

Murad Osmann (@muradosmann)

Chances are you’ve probably stumbled on the #followmeto hashtag either on your explore feed or on one of your friend’s travel photos. Well, meet the person who initiated the project way back in 2011 – Murad Osmann and his wife, Natalia Zakharova. Their signature pose started when Natalia got annoyed at Murad for constantly stopping to take photographs while travelling, but he would continue to take a shot as she pulled away, giving birth to a social media phenomenon.

Jay Alvarrez (@jayalvarrez)

Instagram model cum extreme sports traveller Jay Alvarrez is the definition of living on the edge. From jumping off waterfalls to riding dolphins out of hot-air balloons, you’ll never guess where or what he’s doing next. While he may have had a fallout after his dramatic split from model Alexis Ren (@alexisren), his adrenaline and zest for life are what keeps us on his feed.

You can read the post on my blog by clicking the link in my profile ⬆️ above! — Thank you to all of you for being a part of this little food journal of mine. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you. — As for @girleatworld in 2016… well, you guys have spoken and it’s clear that the #2016bestnine moments were dominated by all the cute eats from my favorite country, Japan! 🇯🇵 The trip really was one of the best memories in my life, especially meeting up with my best friend @op.118 after all these years. — I’m off to Shanghai this week as a final trip to wrap up 2016. See you guys there – and please let me know if you have any recommendations! As usual, the more local – the better. It’s my first time in Shanghai and I expect to eat a lot of dumplings 😋
