Valentino will return to the ancient alleys of the Italian city this June 16th with its first menswear-focused runway after three years. The runway show, titled ‘Valentino The Narratives’, will officially kick off Milan’s annual June Men’s Fashion Week, starting 8PM MYT, and will be streamed live from the Università degli Studi di Milano Statale, Milan, Italy.
According to a press release, Pierpaolo Piccioli vows to “resignify the codes of menswear, but not without looking to the past’’. The choice to depart from Paris—which is highly known as the atelier’s usual runaway location—draws reverence to Valentino Garavani’s first ever menswear presentation, which he performed in Milan, January 1985.
In commemoration of the current menswear show, the Maison has vowed to give a passionate contribution to the University, which will be assigned to the Diritto Allo Studio, to assist student scholarships for the coming academic year.
Valentino reaffirms its commitment to giving back, paving the way for a brighter tomorrow and enhancing the communities in which it lives in preparation for the promise of a more connected world. The fashion house will continue to encourage the reuse of materials from its exhibition set-up and will invest in a green space in the city centre.
