The iconic ‘golden beads’ that have been a focal point in Van Cleef & Arpels‘ designs since the 1940s have made its triumphant returned in the latest Perlée Collection, paying homage to the sacred Rumadan Mubarak. This time, the Maison collaborated with the esteemed designer and friend of the House, Arthur Hoffner, to curate a collection inspired by palm trees, the moon, and illuminating light: conveying a message of positivity and renewal. 

Featuring a colour palette inspired by the Middle East, the Perlée 5 rows creations showcase an asymmetric design that plays with light and shape. Drawing inspiration from the Caroline rings and bracelets of the late 1970s, these creations bring a modern graphic style fit for women of all sizes. 

Since their debut in the Maison’s jewellery and watchmaking artistry in the 1940s, the golden beads take centre stage in iconic pieces like the large Couscous and Bagatelle creations, as well as the whimsical clips from the “La Boutique” collection in the 1960s. With the introduction of the first Alhambra creation in 1968, the golden beads have become a timeless signature of Van Cleef & Arpels.

Starting from March 2024, the windows at Van Cleef & Arpels’ boutiques in the Middle East will unveil the positive and harmonious Ramadan universe imagined by Arthur Hoffner.
