Expect a candle-lit setting emanating romance in the air as you savour a 5-course rustic French menu themed “Be My Valentine”.
This year’s Valentine’s Day may find itself in the middle of all the Chinese New Year festivities, but that’s all the more reason your better half or first date will be touched by an intimate dinner rendezvous. Look no further than Element Kuala Lumpur’s TRACE Restaurant to assist you on your thoughtful display of affection.
Sprawled across the 40th floor of the hotel, the restaurant promises to captivate you and your date with spectacular vistas of KL’s skyline. On top of that, expect a candle-lit setting emanating romance in the air as you savour a 5-course rustic French menu themed “Be My Valentine”.
Amuse bouche
Who says you need to keep sweet dishes for dessert? Starting the meal is a naturally sweet treasure from the sea – Pan-seared Scallops, complemented with bursts of umami flavours from ikura and aromatic spices from saffron froth and basil oil.
Entrée
Plating makes a grand impression in the next dish comprising Salmon Confit, crabmeat avocado timble, salmon roe and micro greens. The luxuriously moist salmon is topped with a punch of acidity from the passionfruit caviar (no, the bright yellow pearls are not fish roe), adding an element of surprise to the meal.
Soup
Almost nothing is as heart-warming as a comforting bowl of Wild Mushroom Soup with Garlic Brie Toast – except when it also comes with heart-shaped decorations (points for presentation again!). A refreshing lemon myrtle sorbet serves as a palate cleanser after, leaving renewed anticipation for the main dish.
Main
If your date has an appetite, don’t worry about not measuring up because the main course will definitely fill the both of you. A trio of Black Angus Beef Tenderloin, Rack Lamb and Salmon Fillet stands to greet the palate with as much spice and gusto as Valentine’s should have to leave your hearts full and tummies satisfied.
Dessert
No Valentine’s meal is complete without chocolate, so this Chocolate Indulgence and Cheese Cake makes a fitting finale. It is also served with candied fruits and the restaurant’s signature macaron for a lingering sweetness till after…
