Hopping on the trend of bright-coloured dials, Breitling delved into the archives to bring the revamped Premiere Heritage Chronograph collection. Powered by the slightly updated B01 Chronograph movement, the timepieces come in five new dial colours and the option of either a leather strap or bracelet.
It’s worth noting that Breitling is renowned for its chronograph and the B01 movement, which was first released in 2009 and is one of the most highly regarded movements in the watch market. This collection also marks 80 years since Breitling decided to make watches to be worn out of the cockpit and for a COSC-certified timepiece, we think you’re getting your money’s worth on this one. The movement features a slightly trimmer profile and a more compact oscillating weight which can be admired through the transparent sapphire caseback.
With its vintage-inspired design and smooth fixed bezel and twin register dial, the appearance brings Breitling’s heritage-conscious design to a modern audience. We particularly like the bold applied Arabic numerals.
Although the size comes in a slightly larger 42mm compared to the 40mm of the manual wind B09 models, the bigger size adds a boldness when paired with the new dial shades from salmon, blue, green, black and cream.
This comes as a big pull for those looking to inject a bit of colour into their wrist wardrobe. There’s also the choice of stainless steel or 18k red gold bracelet which looks particularly retro paired here with the cream dial.
