TAG Heuer has dropped two new limited editions from the latest TAG Heuer and Porsche collaboration. The two entities have a shared history and values, creating a collection in tribute to the iconic Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7, celebrating its 50th anniversary. Here’s a look at the two distinctive TAG Heuer Carrera x Porsche limited editions that feature the signature essence of the 1972 sports car and the 1963 TAG Heuer chronograph.
The Blue Edition
Finely polished steel case, rhodium-plated indexes with stylish white Super-LumiNova® treated hands that mimic the iconic car’s chrome door handles. This Carrera RS 2.7 limited edition timepiece features a smooth white opaline dial with its sub-counters promising an alluring azure finish. A blend of Porsche’s style with TAG Heuer’s finish is seen in this piece with its chronograph, central hands, push buttons and shield logo on the crown lacquered in blue as well as blue markings on the Calibre Heuer 02 oscillating mass.
This piece also features the signature colour stripe and Carrera logo on its dial, flange, case side and strap – creating a bold presence in its overall appeal. This limited edition timepiece includes a sporty fabric strap with the Porsche logo and Carrera markings, as well as an elegant steel bracelet with ergonomic H-shaped links. Running on a visible TAG Heuer Calibre Heuer 02 Automatic, this fine watch has a date indicator situated at six o’clock and a forty-two-millimetre stainless-steel case allowing a water resistance of a hundred metres in depth. The blue RS 2.7 edition is exclusively limited to only five hundred pieces worldwide.
The Red Edition
With a refined case in 18K 5N rose gold, this Carrera RS 2.7 limited edition features shimmery white dial framed with a guards red circular line. Its indexes, permanent second indicator and white treated Super-LumiNova® hands comes in rose gold shade finish. Porsche’s fiery signature colour is seen in the subtle red touches on the chronograph and seconds hands, sub-counter markings and seconds scale on the flange.
With its movement beating from the TAG Heuer Calibre Heuer 02 Automatic made visible from the case back, this piece comes with a luxurious red alligator strap with a solid rose gold pin buckle. Featuring a date indicator situate at six o’clock and a forty-two-millimetre stainless-steel case solidifying a hundred-metre water resistance, the red RS 2.7 edition is a rare timepiece with only two hundred pieces made available.
