Looking back, it’s safe to admit that 2025 was a pretty good year. It unfolded a series of iconic fashion moments that united people worldwide, from Paris Fashion Week debuts of new creative directors to Kendrick Lamar’s Superbowl Halftime Show and its inside jokes. But since we have extensively covered all that in our Fashion Wrapped, this time, we will discuss five fashion trends we’re leaving behind for the new 2026 chapter.
Animal prints

Animal prints are always fun while it lasts. It is the one trend that comes and goes fast, but once it has reached its peak, it gets boring and overused just as quickly. What we find as its subtler, steadier option is this year’s polka dot wave. It is not overly flashy, with various colours and sizes to choose from.
Greenwashing brands

To those who are unaware, greenwashing is the term for a marketing spin used to convince the audience that a brand is environmentally friendly. Even fast fashion brands can easily make a pass with greenwashing nowadays, but no, swapping animal leather for a faux synthetic leather is not actually sustainable. It’s time to say goodbye.
AI models

AI, or artificial intelligence, is already destroying our planet with its excessive amount of water consumption. Using ‘AI models’ isn’t just harming our planet, it also kills creativity in the fashion industry and worsen beauty standards, which are bad enough as it is.
Logomania

If we were to pick between flashy logos or the quiet luxury wave, we would pick the latter. Logos can be a status symbol, but logomania can quickly turn luxury into tacky. Be careful not to confuse one with the other.
Minimalist jewellery

Jewellery has the power to tell a story and to add personality to any outfit. Minimalist jewellery is a good layering filler but can lack character when worn individually. With our latest jewellery stacking guide to help you, there’s no room for excuses.
Bonus: Our thoughts on Labubu
