Despite being rumoured to be the last Huracán to be produced, the Lamborghini Huracán STO is currently on a roll.
Just a little over a week ago, we shared news about the launch of the Italian carmaker’s road-homologated super sports car. Not long after, Swiss watchmaker Roger Dubuis unveiled a new timepiece based on the high-performance car.
The limited edition Excalibur Spider Huracán STO reflects the power and aesthetic of the sports car. It features a bold and vivid colourway where the dial, bezel, and strap are dressed in Blue Laufey and California Orange. It sports a large 45mm skeletonised carbon case with rubber inlays, a titanium bezel, and metallicised sapphire crystal. The timepiece is finished off with a new strap made of perforated calfskin leather paired with a rubber interior liner.
Powering the hyperwatch is the automatic RD630 calibre with the unique honeycomb motif that was designed specifically for the Lamborghini watches by Roger Dubuis. The movement features a 12° angled balance wheel with a 360° oscillating weight that reproduces the same speed effect as the Huracán STO’s wheel. In addition to that, the bridge is designed like a strut-bar that resembles the one found on the V10 engine of the car. To further reflect the essence of the Huracán STO, the watch also boasts great power, with a reserve of up to 60 hours.
Sounds a bit much? Not really, considering the super sports car that takes inspiration from Lamborghini’s GT3 racing models and the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO racing series. It’s equipped with a naturally aspirated V10 which churns out 640 horses and 417 ft-lb of torque at 6,500 rpm.
If you’re more of watch collector than a car enthusiast, the Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Huracán STO retails for US$56,500 (approximately RM230,096), and is only limited to just 88 pieces. For more details, click here.
