Following the launch of iPhone cases and a Dior bag collaboration, luxury travel brand Rimowa has unveiled its next product outside of luggages: a travel watch case.
This is the first watch case by the German brand in its 122 years of history, signalling an evolution with the times.
Designed in Germany and crafted in Italy, the RIMOWA Watch Case pays homage to the brand’s heritage and painstaking craftsmanship. It took two years to refine the minimalist design of the case, which features a trademark grooved aluminium exterior shell and plush dark blue microfibre interior.
Made to store and safeguard up to three timepieces at a time, it’s the perfect travel companion for every watch enthusiast. Its boxy, cylindrical silhouette seamlessly glides open at either end to display three removable padded cushions for your Rolex, Patek Phillippe or Richard Mille. An extra top cushion is also provided to protect the precious surfaces of your timepieces and watch faces whether on the go or on display.
At 1.25kg, it’s lightweight enough to fit into your luggage compartment or travel tote yet incredibly robust to keep your prized possessions safe and offer a peace of mind while travelling. The branding on the side of its shell and inner top cushion is the cherry on top to match your RIMOWA suitcase.
The RIMOWA Watch Case is priced at US$2,050, with pre-orders starting from November 10. It will be available in select locations and the RIMOWA website in December.
