After almost two years of waiting, cinemas are reopening and returning to the silverscreen is none other than everyone’s favourite debonaire spy Agent 007 in the latest Bond installment No Time To Die.
This time, James Bond is on a mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist, which turns out to be far more treacherous than expected. As ever, 007 is equipped with his faithful Seamaster as he follows the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.
At the beginning of No Time To Die, he has left the service, but is soon recalled into action for another critical mission. Omega will be along for the ride, together with 007’s other essential gear – from his perfectly-fitting tuxedo to the iconic car he drives.
On-screen, fans can spot three Omega watches worn by the movie heroes.
James Bond (Daniel Craig) wears the lightweight Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition, which is packed with innovation and style. New agent Nomi (Lashana Lynch) wears a 38mm Seamaster Aqua Terra with a black dial and black NATO strap, and Moneypenny (Naomie Harris) is equipped with a 27.4mm De Ville Prestige on a hunter green leather strap.
James Bond’s Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition
Created in close development with Daniel Craig and the James Bond filmmakers, this non-limited watch has been built with military needs in mind and the final design was influenced by Daniel’s own experience as 007. Grade 2 Titanium has been used for the 42 mm case and titanium mesh bracelet, making this watch particularly strong, light and perfect for an undercover agent. It is also available on a striped NATO strap. The “tropical” brown dial and bezel ring are both made from aluminium. These elements have been given a classic look, thanks to the vintage Super-LumiNova, which fills the diving scale, blackened hands and indexes. The innovation continues inside the watch with the OMEGA Co‑Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806. The movement and watch have achieved the industry’s highest certified standard of precision, performance and magnetic resistance.
Nomi’s 38mm Seamaster Aqua Terra
The Seamaster Aqua Terra is a superb tribute to OMEGA’s rich maritime heritage. In this 38mm model, the symmetrical case has been crafted from stainless steel, with a wave-edged design featured on the back. The black dial is distinguished by a horizontal “teak” pattern which is inspired by the wooden decks of luxury sailboats. There is also a date window at 6 o’clock and rhodium-plated hands and indexes filled with white Super-LumiNova. Presented on a black leather strap, this certified chronometer is powered by the OMEGA Master Chronometer calibre 8800, certified at the industry’s highest standard by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).
Moneypenny’s 27.4mm De Ville Prestige
The OMEGA De Ville Prestige collection has attracted a large and loyal following with its classic, elegant design. These timepieces are characterised by pure styling with timeless luxury finishes. This model features a white silvery dial with a silk-like pattern and an opaline finish. The facetted hands are blackened and the hour-markers include six blackened diamond holders as well as blackened Roman numerals. The 27.4 mm case is stainless steel and is presented on a hunter green leather strap. At the heart of this timepiece is the OMEGA Calibre 1376.
No Time To Die premieres in Malaysian cinemas on 25 November 2021.
