The new De Ville Tourbillon is the first ever Master Chronometer certified manual-winding central Tourbillon by OMEGA.
Innovations in the art of Tourbillon craftsmanship have always been Swiss watchmaker OMEGA’s forte. This year, they celebrate this special reputation with the debut of its new De Ville Tourbillon Numbered Edition.
The highlight of the De Ville Tourbillon Numbered Edition is that it is OMEGA’s first ever Master Chronometer certified manual-winding central Tourbillon. This certification assures its highest standard of precision and performance, and serves as a testament to the expert watchmakers at OMEGA, who have masterfully crafted a tourbillon cage that’s able to keep rotating even under a magnetic field of 15,000 gauss. The Tourbillon’s speed has also been set to one revolution per minute allowing the display of seconds – essential for achieving certification.
Take a look through the sapphire crystal caseback, and it reveals the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 2640 and the 3-day power reserve indicator. The bridges and mainplate have been fashioned from 18K Sedna™ gold, and hand-bevelled for a decorative finish.
As for the design of the De Ville Tourbillon, the 43mm central casebody, buckle logo, and crown logo are all fashioned out of 18K Canopus™gold – an exclusive white gold alloy that’s known for its distinct brilliance, whiteness, and longevity. The lugs, bezels, and caseback of the timepiece are made from 18K Sedna™gold, a fiery rose gold alloy that’s also exclusive to OMEGA.
The sun-brushed dial is also in 18K Sedna™gold, but sports a mysterious dark shade thanks to its black PVD treatment. At the centre of the dial, the tourbillon cage with hand-polished bevels in black ceramised titanium. The timepiece is fitted with an elegant black leather strap.
The new OMEGA De Ville Tourbillon Numbered Edition comes with the watchmaker’s full 5-year warranty, and is delivered in a special box equipped with a travel pouch and watch crown winder. The new owner will also be given a certificate that mentions the specific number of each watch. It retails at approximately RM666,500. Find out more about this breathtaking watch on OMEGA’S website.
