Gentlemen, mark your calendars. Award-winning global online retail for men’s fashion Mr Porter is partnering with Swiss manufacturer Zenith and British watch customiser Bamford Watch Department to introduce its first limited edition timepiece this 15 November.

Enter the Zenith X Bamford Watch Department Chronomaster El Primero ‘Solar Blue’. The exclusive 25-piece watch is the result of an inaugural collaboration in which George Bamford and his team worked alongside Zenith on the design before it was developed and produced in-house in Zenith’s Manufacture and (to be) retailed exclusively at Mr Porter.

“Zenith’s approach to modern day watch-making, alongside George Bamford’s eye for contemporary customisation, has created unique timepieces our customers and readers are sure to enjoy and appreciate. By diving into Zenith’s archive for technical references, this collaboration showcases genuine originality and storytelling – which certainly will make this watch special for years to come,” says Toby Bateman, managing director of Mr Porter.

Inspired by the Zenith Heritage 146 model, the watch incorporates the manufacturer’s historical elements while fitting a few innovative touches. Among these additions include a tachymeter referencing the 1971 El Primero, a red second hand, a vintage chronograph case, centric sub-dial rings and a motion detecting clock.

Framed by a 38mm stainless steel case, it features a unique Solar Blue dial and is completed with a navy blue Alcantara strap with contrasting white stitching that matches the markings on the dial.

Each of the 25 limited-edition timepieces will feature a unique open-case back engraved individually with numbers from one to 25.
