5 Malaysian talents help Hublot celebrate summer with a pop of purple

The season for bright, bold ensembles in fun colours is here, and Hublot has appropriately rolled out the perfect finishing piece for every look and wardrobe this summer. Meet the new limited edition Big Bang Unico Summer, now in a splashy purple shade.

Cut from modern, lightweight aluminium, the Big Bang Unico Summer Purple features a 42mm case and bezel that’s anodised, satin-finished, polished, and purple all over. The stunning shade also runs across the watch’s hands and indices, contrasted with luminescent white accents.

Demonstrating their technical mastery, Hublot’s engineers utilised a process in which the purple hue is enriched with special properties that ensure impressive durability and protection against scratches and impacts.

Like last year’s turquoise Big Bang Unico Summer, this exclusive purple edition is powered by a HUB1280 manufacture calibre, a self-winding chronograph flyback movement which boasts a 72-hour power reserve and a column wheel that’s observable through the watch’s dial.

Two special straps accompany the exclusive amethyst piece: a Velcro one with matching stitching and sports clasp, and another crafted using the brand’s signature natural rubber material. Thanks to Hublot’s patented One-Click clasp system, the straps can be easily switched up to match every occasion and preference.

In a campaign starring five of Malaysia’s top personalities, Hublot puts the Big Bang Unico Summer Purple’s versatility on full display as actress and model Amelia Henderson, social media star Chang Yong, fashion and beauty blogger Christinna Kuan, model Elvina Mohamad, and musician Hael Husaini showcase the watch against a number of different ensemble styles.
