The Chavana Spa specializes in body massage treatments and spa packages that are inspired by Balinese spa treatments. During the 50 minutes of this treatment, you can get yourself holiday ready by experiencing Balinese massage techniques by one of the Chavana Spa masseuses, accompanied by the soothing Balinese-inspired music.
Upon your arrival, you will be escorted to the seating area, by smiling and gracious spa employees, where you will be given a pot of cold jasmine tea to refresh the palate and calm your senses, as well as a cold cloth to wipe your hands and face.
You will then be given an option of two types of massage oils, either the Citrus oil, which is good for cooling the body and keeping the mind alert, or the Floral oil, which is purely for relaxation. Chavana Spa’s spa packages, body massages and facials use products by ELEMIS, a leading luxury British skincare brand to ensure that you have quality treatments. 
Once you have chosen your desired massage oil, you will be escorted to the Spa’s changing rooms to change into a luxurious bathrobe and bedroom slippers. You can then make your way to the treatment rooms, which are also of course separated for men and women.
The atmosphere of the spa oozes relaxation, truly representing an urban getaway, ensuring that you can get away from the noise and bustle of city life.
Once flat on the massage table, the full body massage treatment begins. The masseuse first drapes a cloth over the entire body and begins the massage at the base of the feet. Working her way up the calves and thighs in slow but intentional movements, the masseuse then requests if the pressure applied is suitable and desired.
After the initial prep, the cloth is removed and the masseuse proceeds to use the chosen massage oil to begin working through the lower half of the body.
With appropriate pressure, you will begin to feel the undoing of the knots in your legs and thighs, as a plaintive and pleasant Balinese soundtrack fills your ears. It is easy to float away with the pleasurable feeling, as thoughts of deadlines, responsibilities and tasks begin to move further and further away.
After completing the treatment on the lower half, the masseuse then gently proceeds to the upper half of the body– the shoulders, upper back and lower back. This the where the magic really happens, as all the tension and stress knots in the shoulders and upper back begin to melt away. Proceeding again with intentional movements, the pressure and speed is relaxing yet effective.
Once finished with the back portion, the masseuse then requests that you turn over and face upwards, so that she may massage the front portion of the body. She then places a cooling and soothing eye patch on both the eyes, as the room lights are dimmed to promote a relaxed and calm atmosphere.
Beginning once more from the feet, the masseuse works her way through the lower portion of the body, and finishes off the treatment with a head and neck massage. By the end of the 50 minutes, you‘ll be glowing from within, and tension free, all ready for the holiday season!
